Each Apple device has its own way of displaying the model. Here’s a guide on where to find it and how to view the model ID.

Identify your iMac

To identify your iMac’s model, it can be found in a line of codes and information about it.
In this case, on an iMac, it’s located under the iMac’s kickstand. To access it, you’ll need to carefully tilt the iMac away from the screen (screen facing up).
After doing this, you’ll see some text under the kickstand.
To correctly view the model, you’ll usually see “Model:” after a series of four numbers preceded by an “A” [AXXXX] (Example: A2115, A1418, A1862, A1312).
